Black Forest Beha 509 cuckoo clock with its extremely rare Beha shelf

This is a recently acquired Beha 509 which is one of the small case shelf clocks that Beha produced . As you can see in the photo it has a very nicely detailed carved case and trim. This is a very early example of a Beha 509 that maintains all its original bone hands and patina.

The clock was sold by Kamerer, Kuss & Co. who were the premier distributors of Beha clocks in England. The clock still maintains it original Kamerer, Kuss & Co. label on the back of the case which is an added bonus.

This Beha 509 is also resting on a very rare Beha wall bracket / shelf, this combination of having both the clock and shelf is a very rare pairing indeed and we are very proud to have it as part of our Black Forest clock collection.
